Communicating in a Team

In a team, you can communicate directly or collectively with members using Messenger. Direct messages are for direct communication and rooms are for collective communication. Rooms enable secure communication with selected or all team members.

Direct Chats with Team Members

In team room, tap Chats to view all your direct messages. Tap Compose Message  to create a new direct chat.

Using Chats, you can exchange information and files just like a chat message, but as a team participant. All of your chat messages on a team are listed on the Chats tab.

When you create a team, the General and Hangout rooms are created by default.

You can share information and files with room participants by posting audio clips, video messages, or any other file in a team room. A room enables easy sharing of files and content. It also promotes communication between room participants about a common subject.

Messages and Posts

In a team room, you can send and receive direct messages, which are one-to-one chat messages. In addition, you can create a post message that you or other users can add comments to communicate, like the post, and if desired, share the post.

To comment on a posted message, tap the message to open the message, and then post a comment in the Compose Message field. In addition, you can tap the iOSLikeIcon.png  icon if you like the room message. You can also Set a Reminder, Share a copy, Edit Control, Follow Post, and Delete Post when you tap the More ellipsis.png icon located to the right of the post name as shown next.

You can view files shared with you or those files shared by you, with the members of the team room. When you click the file, the name of the sender is displayed along with the size of the file. You can also view the chat message that the file was a part of.

Message Lifecycle Management for Teams

You can use message control for teams, while composing direct messages, and while composing room messages, posts, and comments.

Tap the Message Control  icon in the Compose Message field and apply the required message control policies. For more information, see Message Control
